Passenger Information Operator

What do the passengers need to know? The main priority of the PIO is to sort through and share relevant information with the passengers of the Metro.

The primary task of the Passenger Information Operator (PIO) is providing passengers with the necessary information about the operation of the Metro through public announcements, information screens and digital media.

The PIO also answer calls from call points in trains and stations, and they monitor the track, stations and parts of the Metro's technical equipment.

The PIO job requires the ability to stay calm and collected in hectic situations.

Training and requirements:

The first three months of working as a PIO are spent on training - primarily through peer-to-peer training. Along the way, there will be a number of tests that must be passed in order to be hired. You cannot take holidays during training, but you will receive full pay during training.

To be considered for the job as a PIO, you must:

  • Be service-minded and enjoy speaking to and with thousands of passengers through loudspeaker announcements
  • Have an interest in technology and IT
  • Be able to express yourself clearly in written and spoken Danish and English. Language tests in both languages are part of the recruitment process.
