Traffic Controller
The job of a traffic controller is to manage all traffic in the Metro. In other words, the controller monitors and manages the operation of the Metro. This requires a good overview, quick reactions and a particularly well-developed sense for making the right decisions - even under pressure.
In addition, the job involves updating stewards in the Metro about operational statuses, so a strong ability to communicate clearly and precisely is important.
The controller is also responsible for monitoring and controlling the Metro's various systems, coordinating the work of internal and external craftsmen on and in the Metro and liaising with a wide range of other stakeholders.
Training and requirements:
The first four to five months of the job are spent on training. Along the way, there will be a number of tests that must be passed before employment. It's not possible to take any leave during the training, but you will receive full pay for the entire period.
To be considered for the job as a Traffic Controller, you must:
- Achieve a satisfactory result in the logic test
- Have completed high school or similar with satisfactory results
- Have an interest in technology and IT
- Be able to keep your head cool and handle stressful situations
- Be able to express yourself clearly in written and spoken Danish and English
- Have an interest in management and development
- Receive medical authorisation by the Danish Civil Aviation & Railway Authority (Trafikstyrelsen)
