What you can expect when applying for a job with us

We look forward to your application. Find out more about our recruitment process here.

Metro Service's recruitment process

Learn more about how our recruitment process works. If you are applying for a position as a technician/skilled worker - for example, electrician, automation technician, welder, or similar - there will generally be no tests or additional interviews.

Application and screening

When applying for a position at Metro Service, you should upload your CV and any other relevant documents to our recruitment system. Uploading a photo is optional; however, to ensure a fair assessment, we prefer applications to be submitted without a photo.

We review applications on an ongoing basis and invite selected candidates to a first interview.

Initial interview

The purpose of the initial interview is for us to get to know each other better. We expect to gain insight into your professional and personal qualifications, as well as your motivation for applying for a position at Metro Service.

Before the interview, we ask that you upload your criminal record, diploma/education certificates, and any other relevant documents to our recruitment system.

Test

Before the second interview, you will receive a personality assessment and a cognitive test (except if you are applying for a technician/skilled worker position - for example, electrician, automation technician, welder, or similar).

These assessments are designed to provide a more detailed and nuanced insight into your skills. They form the basis for a more informed discussion and help us determine whether there is a good match between the position, you, and Metro Service.

Second interview

During the second interview, you will receive feedback on your personality assessment and cognitive test from one of our certified HR consultants. You will also have the opportunity to meet other people in addition to those present at the initial interview.

For certain technical positions or skilled worker roles - for example, electrician, automation technician, welder, or similar - usually only one interview is conducted.

Employment or Rejection

References
As the final part of the process, we will request references from a former manager and, if relevant, a former colleague. We always ask for your consent before contacting your references.

Possible health clearance
If you are applying for a position that requires health clearance, you will receive information about how this will be carried out.

Employment
If there is a match between the position, you, and Metro Service, we will call you to offer you the position. You will then receive a contract for signature.

Rejection
All candidates who have attended an interview will receive a phone call from the recruiting manager with feedback on the decision. Applicants who were not considered for the position will receive a written rejection.

We keep your application on file for six months, after which it is automatically deleted.

Even if you were not selected for a particular position, this does not mean that your qualifications or skills are not relevant to Metro Service. You are always welcome to apply for another position with us.
